A Busy Time in the beautiful Garden In Spring!
The next volunteer days are 7th April, 5th May, 2nd June and the 7th July
We’re asking for volunteers to join us to help with tasks that benefit everyone who visits the garden. Our regular small team of volunteers spend a lot of time caring for the plants and overall look of the garden, but get little time to tackle other more challenging tasks, that many hands could make light work of.
So join us on the first Sunday of every month 11-2pm to enjoy some healthy outdoor gardening activity. You can do as little or as much as you’d like. The garden is open to everyone and Child / dog friendly. Tea and cake provided!
Join us on Saturday 3rd November from 3.30pm for our final community garden gathering of the year celebrating the Autumn season!
They’ll be pumpkins and a big bonfire (no more wood needed!) plus lots of food, drink and sparklers.
It’s an outdoor event so it’s weather dependant, look out for updates, here and on the Facebook page Newhaven Community Garden – Growing Together
Do wrap up warm and bring torches or lanterns for the evening as it gets very dark. There’s plenty of seating by the fire.
Any food or drink donations are very welcome as this is a community run and funded event. We’re also excited to fire up our newly built bread oven at this event too.
Friday 27th August from 6pm we welcome the French artist Ève Chabanon to the Community garden. Join her, for free, for tradional clay bowl making tonight, culminating in decorating, firing, oiling and eating from them Sunday evening. All welcome!

There’s also plenty of other gorgeous ornamental flowers, fruit & veg to look at & enjoy too.
